At siyat.lk, we want you to shop with confidence. This Warranty Policy explains the terms, conditions and limitations of any warranty coverage provided with our products.
1. Warranty Coverage
- Warranty applies only to manufacturing defects or faults in workmanship.
- Warranty does not cover damage due to: misuse, accidental damage, improper use, water or liquid damage, physical abuse, wear & tear, cosmetic damage (scratches, dents), modifications, unauthorized repairs, or damage during transit after delivery.
- Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser — it is non-transferable.
2. Warranty Period
- The warranty period depends on the individual product and will be clearly stated on the product page or on the invoice/receipt.
- If a warranty period is not specified for a product, then no warranty applies for that product.
3. What We Will Do: Remedies Under Warranty
If a valid manufacturing defect is reported within the warranty period, we will — at our discretion:
- Repair the defective part or product; or
- Replace the product with the same or equivalent item; or
- Offer an alternative remedy (if repair or replacement is not feasible).
We strive to process valid warranty claims as quickly as possible, but availability of replacement parts or new stock may affect the timeline.
4. Warranty Claim Process
To make a warranty claim:
- Contact us via email or phone (see “Contact Us” section) as soon as you notice an issue — and before making any repairs by third parties.
- Provide proof of purchase (invoice or order number), a clear description of the defect, and — where applicable — photos or videos.
- Once we receive the returned item or inspect the defect, we will verify the defect and decide whether the warranty applies.
- If approved, we will inform you about repair or replacement options.
Please note: we will not honor warranty claims if the product shows signs of misuse, physical damage, unauthorized repair, or tampering.
5. Exclusions & Void Warranty Conditions
Warranty is void if:
- The item has been misused, abused, dropped, exposed to liquids or extreme conditions, or otherwise damaged after delivery.
- The item has been altered, repaired, or modified by anyone other than our authorized service personnel.
- Serial number / warranty sticker (if any) is missing, removed or tampered.
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic scratches, or minor degradation (e.g. battery wear) — unless caused by manufacturing defect.
6. Company vs. Seller Warranty / Manufacturer Warranty
Some products sold on our store may come with an official manufacturer warranty (when applicable), while others may carry a seller-provided warranty.
- For manufacturer-warranted products, claims must be directed to the manufacturer or their authorized service centers, according to their terms. We will provide you with any documentation or invoice required.
- For seller-warranted products, warranty services (repair, replacement) are managed by siyat.lk under the terms described in this policy.
Where a product page indicates a warranty period (e.g. “6-month warranty”), that warranty applies under the conditions outlined here.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, siyat.lk will not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from product defects or failures.
- Loss of data, loss of business or income, or any incidental losses.
Our warranty covers only repair or replacement under the described conditions.
